It’s kind of funny. On one of the blogs I read, they were talking about getting itty bitty eggs from their hens. Well, guess what’s been turning up in our nesting boxes the last few days?
I had an even smaller one, but it broke when I was washing them.
Farm wives throughout history have always had to look for ways to make a little spending money. Things haven’t changed. Eggs have always been an easy way. Another way is with hand work.
I have a merino/cashmere blend shawl for sale. It’s a beautiful crescent/heart shape that clings well around the shoulders.
Here’s a close-up of the lace. I’m asking only $50 plus shipping. Email me for details and shipping costs.
Beautiful colours in the shawl! Takes me of the Caribbean or the ocean.
It is actually called ‘ocean’ Debbie
all the best with your family $ making endeavors! 🙂 if you make more things like this, perhaps an etsy store would be a good thing?? :)))
I tried an Etsy store for a while and got no where with the items there. For some reason my handwork just doesn’t seem to sell 😦
Absolutely stunning! Wish I had the money. I would love to own it. You do lovely work. I have heard several others say that they didn’t do well with selling hand-knit items either. Not sure why, but I love hand-knit items.
Wonder why the eggs are smaller. ?? I would love to have some chickens and some ducks. I love feathered friends.
It’s most likely from one of the older hens. It’s getting to be that time of year to replace hens. It also could be from one of the REALLY old banty hens. We don’t replace them because they are just for fun.
