We were in Pickering for a short visit over the weekend. I’m always so tired after we come home, especially since I do most of the driving these days. We didn’t do much, but Saturday afternoon, Uncle Stefan and Auntie B took us to an arcade. Ella had lots of fun playing all the arcade games and winning ‘tickets’. There was a go-cart track too. Ella had fun, but was disappointed that the carts go so much slower than her dune buggy.
Belinda raced too. Colin thought it was funny that the 2 people without a driver’s license were the ones go-carting.
My favourite yarn shop in Bowmanville has moved. Tina’s bought the old Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce building in Orono!! How cool is that?!
Parking in ‘downtown’ Orono is certainly easier than in Bowmanville. It’s a quick off and back on to the highway too.
Check out the cool balcony! But guess what the best/coolest part was???
THE VAULT!! I mean, how cute is that? Wasn’t terribly big inside, but then again the old farmers wouldn’t have had that much cash to stash at the bank.
I didn’t do a Menu Plan Monday last week since we were going away. I made the most delicious roast on Monday and we just ate variations all week. Here’s the recipe. I used a sirloin tip that was on sale. It was so good that Colin and Ella both raved over at every meal -all week! It is definitely on my ‘make again’ list.
So what’s up this week?

leftovers
Tuesday:
Wednesday:

Thursday:
shake and bake chicken with stovetop stuffing

My sister and her knitting pals are crazy about the new location. I think she and momma are heading out there tomorrow again.
Hi, I know I’m a little late in stopping by but thanks for the shout out on my roast, my Poor Man’s Mock Prime Rib!
It sounds like this was a fun trip!!
