I love to make moebius scarves for Ella. They were perfect when she was a baby. They just stayed snuggled around her neck and she couldn’t get them off. Ella has sensitive skin so for now I make them out of acrylic. This is an easy rib version. Gauge doesn’t really matter, use the needles that make it look how you like it to look.
Materials: 2 balls Marble by James Brett
Needles: 4.5 mm or size needed
Size: 60 inches X 7 inches
Use a provisional cast on, cast on 43 sts.
Rib pattern: K1 (P2, K2) repeat ending with P2
Continue in rib pattern until scarf measures 60 inches. Bring ends together then give one side a turn to form a moebius. Graft ends together.
where do you buy your Marble yarn? I looked at it at Mary Maxim and it is quite expensive.
I got the Marble up at Algonquin Sewing in Petawawa. It was a little expensive (for an acrylic) but Ella was desperate for a scarf and the colours were gorgeous. We were actually by your place on the weekend. We took the hwy 7 route home from Northbrook (not the short cut I thought).
