The Christmas Season is finally upon us! We’re having a scaled-back Christmas this year. I realized half-way through last week that there was no way I was getting the cookies made -not without killing myself and being miserable with Ella. So for the first time in I don’t know how long (since high school), I will not be giving out boxes of cookies to my family and friends. And my house will just have to be in the state that it is. I didn’t get it organized as I wanted. In fact, it got messier because we needed in the closet where I had stuff piled waiting to be sorted. Oh well, now I know what my New Year’s resolution will be 🙂
My Solstice supper didn’t go as planned either. We got such a storm Friday that Teresa and Terence couldn’t get out their own driveway, let alone to Cobden. AND Grandma got stranded here for the night.
Which worked out well for me. Our power went out at 3 am and Ella wakes up immediately. She’s frightened of the dark, but I’m not sure how it wakes her up so quickly. Once Daddy had the generator on we all tried to go to sleep but Ella was wide awake and wanting to know when she can get up (my answer ‘7 like always’). Grandma said for Ella to come down with her -Ella was a happy camper.
Let’s hope this week goes as planned.
