Everyone has such pretty pictures to post for this week’s pretty, happy, funny, real. But it is so wet and miserable here I don’t know what to post.
My baby girl on her Christening April 2006.
Happy
Spare moments with Daddy playing with her Easter Playdoh.
Funny
Real
I was trying to get a picture of the river flooding our fields, but the pictures just don’t do it justice. So here is a picture of one of our market garden areas. There should be peas and beans already coming up and the tomatoes should be ready to plant any day. I’m not sure when they are getting in the ground this year. It’s almost time to as God to hold off on the rain -until June anyway 🙂
Hoping you all are having a nicer day.
I hope things dry out for you soon! We have had a lot or rain and cold here as well, and we are getting nervous about planting our strawberries!
Everything is so behind this year. The daffodils are only 2 inches tall, the lilac is no where to be seen and there is no way I’ll have lily of the valley for my birthday (the 4th). Spring needs to come soon (and winter late).
Lovely! Thanks for sharing!
a soggy Easter isn’t much fun…
but
Christ is risen! 🙂
He is Indeed!!
Heh I’m the 8th! My daffies are up and opened today but like you said two weeks behind. But I don’t want all this rain this summer. two years of wet summers is enough. What a day today! Em is on the lane up to the farm cutting up fallen trees. One barn door blew off! Life sure is exciting!
Cool another May birthday. It’s funny Colin’s best friend’s wife shares my birthday. Colin and Keith look like brothers, both married girls they met online too.
Has the wind stopped down there? It’s 7pm and still blowing like crazy. We’ve been out of power since 11:30. Colin’s going to have to refill the tractor soon. We aren’t sure the total of the damage yet. There is definitely tin off various barns and I think the in-laws may have to knock down the old log barn. This wind needs to stop soon, I can’t sleep when it’s blowing like this -and Colin doesn’t want to have to stay up all night babysitting the generator.
For not knowing what to post I think you did quite well. I always love seeing the happy, funny, pretty real on your site.
The real is all too real. I just lifted a prayer on your behalf. That the Lord in His wisdom will give you wisdom as you figure out how to deal with the setback.
Blessings, Debbie
Thanks Debbie! Things aren’t too grim with the planting yet. Colin is just starting to grumble 🙂 Most years everything balances out in the end and crop yields don’t suffer. We’ll just have to wait a while for fresh vegetables.
